Revoke a Product
Revoking a product is a means to prevent a guest from accessing their entitlements. For example, a member of your team may determine that a guest’s season pass should be deactivated for a period of time due to unsafe behavior.
How to revoke a product
A product can manually be revoked by locating that sale’s Order Overview page through Sale Search.
- Click the pencil icon in the top right corner of the Products Sold section. A pop-up window will appear with a list of products in the sale.
- Select the items in the sale to modify by clicking on the checkbox on the left side of each item’s row.
- Click the Revoke button in the bottom left corner of the pop-up.
- Confirm that the products should be revoked. The products are now revoked, and should be marked as such in the list of products on the Order Overview page.
Refund and Revoke
Products which are refunded may also be revoked at the same time. When you refund a product, click the checkbox labeled “Cancel/Revoke products?”
Automatic Revocation
When a transaction is disputed, SnowPay will automatically revoke all products within that sale.
Re-enable a revoked product
Products that have been revoked may be re-enabled through the same steps as listed above. A product that is already revoked can be “revoked” a second time to re-enable the product.
Effects of revoking a product
Revoking a product from a guest will prevent that product’s entitlements from being fulfilled. This has a different effect depending on the kind of entitlement.
Access Entitlements
Revoking a product with an access entitlement will block that entitlement from validating a scan. A special warning message will appear within the operator if there is an attempt to use the product.
If a guest has multiple products with valid access entitlements, revoking one will not block the other entitlement from validating a scan.
Rental Entitlements
Revoking a product with a rental entitlement will prevent the entitled rental products from being issued to the guest within the rental app. The app will appear as if the guest does not have any valid rentals for the day. If the product is revoked after the rental equipment has been fulfilled, the issued rental item will still appear in reporting and should be checked in.
Lesson Entitlements
Revoking a product with a lesson entitlement will prevent the guest from checking in through the lesson check-in app.
Discount Entitlements
Revoking a product with a discount entitlement will prevent those entitlements from being applied to orders, both in the operator app POS and the public e-store. In the POS, the guest may still be attached to orders. The guest may still complete transactions in the public e-store as well. The guest’s coupons, gift cards, store credit, and discount entitlements from other owned products will still be available.
