Creating a New Food and Beverage Shop

SnowCloud makes it easy to create and manage food and beverage shops. Follow the steps below to set up a new F&B shop in your SnowCloud environment.

Accessing the Shop Creation Interface

  1. Start by logging into your SnowCloud account.
  2. From the left side navigation menu, click on Products, then on F&B Shops.
  3. You should now see a list of any existing shops. To create a new shop location, click on the plus icon at the top right of the screen.

Configuring a New Shop

Now that you know how to access the shop creation interface, follow these steps to configure your new food and beverage shop:

  1. First, we need to add a name to the shop. Using the Shop Name field, enter the name of your new shop.

  2. The next field is the Parent Location field. This field allows you to nest your shop within an existing location.

    In this example, we’ll leave the default value of Root Location, since this is our first shop.

  3. Next, we’ll configure how this shop handles reservations. Using the Reservation Mode dropdown, select one of the following options:

    • Dining/Table Reservations: Select this option if your shop accepts reservations for dining or table service.
    • Pickup-Time Reservations: Select this option if your shop accepts reservations for pickup at a specific time.
    • Walk-in Only: Select this option if your shop only accepts walk-in customers.

    In this example, we’ll select Walk-in Only.

  4. If the location accepts tips, the accounting GL code can be configured by using the TIPS GL Account field. This field ensures that tips are properly accounted for in your financial records.

  5. Using the Menu Mode field, select how this location’s menu will be handled. This field has 3 options:

    • Use the Online Menu for the POS: This option allows the shop to use the same menu for both online orders and in-person point of sale transactions.
    • Use different Menu Online and in the POS: This option allows the shop to have separate menus for online orders and in-person point of sale transactions.
    • No Online Menu, POS only: This option indicates that the shop does not have an online menu and only uses a menu for in-person point of sale transactions.

    In this example, we’re going to select Use the Online Menu for the POS.

  6. Optionally, additional fields that may be available based on your SnowCloud configuration can be filled out as needed. For more information on these fields, refer to the Food and Beverage Shop Settings Reference documentation.

  7. Finally, click the Save button at the bottom right of the screen to create your new food and beverage shop.
