Access Control Scan Results

When a guest’s media is scanned using the Access Control app, the app will display the scan results on the screen. These results provide important information about the guest’s access entitlements and the validity of their media.

Below are the possible scan results you may encounter:

Valid

After scanning a piece of media, SnowCloud will determine if that guest currently has access to that location. A successful scan will show a green border and more guest information. You will be able to review the ticket’s profile photo to cross-check with the person holding the ticket.

The following additional information will also be shown:

  • The entitlement that grants them access
  • The number of uses left on that entitlement
  • How many times the guest has been scanned

In the event that you need to review additional guest information, tapping on the guest’s profile icon will take you to their Guest Overview page for further details.

No Claims Found

A scan result of “no claims found” means that the guest associated with this media does not currently own any access products valid at this resort. The guest may need to purchase a valid access product in order to gain entry.

Media Reissued

To prevent pass sharing, SnowCloud’s systems only allow a guest to have one piece of media. A “media reissued” result means that the scanned media was deactivated and replaced.

In the event of a media reissue, SnowCloud provides the date and time that the guest’s media was replaced.

Error

A red border scan result with no guest information means that the information on the scanned media did not match any guests in our system. As a result, we can’t provide a picture or name for the scan.

If you encounter an error result during a scan, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Try scanning the media again to rule out any temporary issues.
  • Try scanning the media using the phone’s internal NFC chip instead of a UHF device.
  • Verify that you are scanning the correct type of media.
  • Ensure that the media has been properly encoded.
